There is secure communal parking and the community has two pools, including a childrens pool and areas for sunbathing. There are buses that pass locally. Next door to the property is an Argentinean restaurant and there are two small commercial centres with a variety of restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. Riviera is a great location, being next door to Calahonda and only a short drive to La Cala, Cabopino, Fuengirola and Marbella. The airport is only 30 minutes away and there are several golf course within a short driving distance. The 200 store La Canada shopping centre that has a number of bars and restaurants is less than 20km away. The beach is quieter than that of its neighbouring resorts and has a Chiringuito supplying food and drinks. There is a golf course situated in this resort. Just off the main coastal road is the commercial centre of the resort housing a number of bars and restaurants and a supermarket. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the area and some more localised establishments closer to the urbanisations situated further from the centre of the resort. Calahonda with its beach stretching 4.5km is situated 35km from Malaga International Airport. The resort has grown less aggressively than that of some of its neighbouring resorts due to building restrictions on green land and limitations on apartment developments has allowed Calahonda to maintain most of its charm. Cabopino sits right on the boundary of Marbella and Mijas Costa and is 40km from Malaga International Airport and has a picturesque marina. Surrounding the marina there are a number of apartments, bars and restaurants that are the main focus of the day and nightlife of this traditional port. Cabopino is a popular destination for boat and golf enthusiasts as well as self-catering apartment/villa tourists. Cabopina also has its very own golf course with about 10 more no more than 10km away. La Cala de Mijas is at the centre of Mijas Costa and is only 31km from Malaga International Airport. Originally a small fishing village, La Cala has grown over the past 10 – 15 years into a small thriving town but has still maintained its Spanish village appeal which attracts many foreign tourists and residents. La Cala's development has led to a vastly improved infrastructure with the introduction of a health centre and a number of new schools. There is also a golf course. Sitio de Calahonda actually falls in the boundaries of La Cala de Mijas. Mijas Costa is the stretch of coastline that lies in between the boundaries of Fuengirola and Marbella. Most of this stretch of land has been urbanised and includes the resorts of El Faro, El Chaperral, La Cala de Mijas, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and Sitio de Calahonda. Sitio de Calahonda is the largest urbanisation on this part of the costa and Calahonda beach is the largest beach in the Mijas municipality covering 4.5km of coastline. The coastal bus service links all of these resorts and within Mijas Costa there are 12 golf courses. On its border with Fuengirola lies the Miramar shopping centre and the water park.
